Education: Kansas State University
Dr. Matthew Rossi was born and raised in Lake Ronkonkoma. He attended the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY where he received his B.S. in Environmental Biology. Once his undergraduate degree was complete, he moved out west and earned his DVM from Kansas State University. After getting a taste of the midwest, he decided to move back to the east coast and completed an internship in small animal general medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center in Annandale, Virginia located minutes outside of Washington D.C. Having spent the past 9 years away, Dr. Rossi is excited to return back to Long Island and join the team at West Hills Animal Hospital. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports, cheering on his favorite NY teams (Go Jets and Rangers!), cooking, and exploring all that NY and Washington D.C. have to offer.
Clients of Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic never pay an additional emergency fee when being seen at West Hills Animal Emergency & Critical Care Center for after hour emergencies.
