Carmine Boccia, DVM

carmine-boccia-veterinarian

Education: Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine

Carmine A. Boccia completed his undergraduate studies at Fordham University before continuing his education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating from Ross University in 1997, he worked at both a general practice and an emergency hospital in Brooklyn for one year before focusing his career as a general practitioner and moving to Long Island.

In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Boccia has developed and pursued an interest in avian, small mammal, and reptile medicine and surgery, which he has fostered through multiple educational and training opportunities for the past 20 years.

Dr. Boccia is a thorough and compassionate practitioner who provides superior medical care to dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, and reptiles by placing the needs and comfort of his patients above all else. Dr. Boccia believes that robust communication with pet owners is an essential part of pet care to ensure that any medical plan of action takes all the pet’s needs into consideration thereby ensuring the best possible medical, physical, and emotional support for the pet.

Dr. Boccia has adopted many rescue animals throughout the years and continues to personally support several animal rescue and animal welfare organizations.

During his time away from the animal hospital, Dr. Boccia enjoys family time with his wife, two sons, and their little girl Harley, a spoiled Labrador mix who was rescued from a kill shelter.
