Rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and other small animals need veterinary care too! It's good to bring any pet to the trained veterinarians at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center on a regular basis to make sure he or she is healthy and to establish a relationship with a veterinarian in case your pet needs more urgent health care.

If you have acquired a new small mammal, we recommend that you have your new pet examined by us within 1-2 weeks after purchase so that we may check their health and discuss proper home care. Be sure to feed your new pet the same food as you were given at the time of purchase, and we will talk about your pet's nutritional needs at your first visit.
